Thank you
Things are moving quickly with 130+ dresses made already!
It’s heartening to see people from my sewing group and people all around New Zealand embrace the project.
This is a far bigger response than I ever dared hope for. So, I want to say a huge thanks to everyone who is helping make this happen, from those who have donated fabric, to the sewers, to Gill for allowing us to take over her spare room with dresses and fabric, to all the people who have taken the time to send me lovely messages of support.
Shortathon on Friday 24th February
Several large pieces of donated fabric aren’t suitable for dresses for various reasons.
We have decided to use this fabric to make shorts like beach baggies for the boys of Timor-Leste.
If you are in the Wairarapa/Wellington, we will be hosting a Shortathon at the WoRN gathering on Friday 24th February at Featherston’s Anzac Hall from 10.30am -12.30pm.
All the material will be pre-cut so come along with your sewing machine. There will be spot prizes on the day.
If you aren’t able to join us but want to contribute, you can use any shorts pattern from sizes 4-8.

Thank you, one and all
Annie
